Our employees donate generously to causes that they care about, from disaster relief to education and other community needs. Each year, our employees volunteer nearly 2 million hours to strengthen communities and provide generous financial donations to more than 40,000 nonprofits around the world.

Annually, their giving directs more than $65 million in total to communities via individual giving and the bank’s matching gifts program.

To further unite our company behind the concept of giving back, we celebrate our passion every April during “Global Service Month.” During that time, we plan special volunteer activities and recognize all of the spectacular work our team does during the year.

Better Money Habits® Champion Connie Montana is one of hundreds of volunteers who empower people with the knowledge of how finances build a secure future. Some of Connie’s go-to financial tips for her BMH audiences are to pay yourself first and calculate how many hours you need to work to pay for the things you want. She loves helping people she connects with realize the path to better finances also leads to a better quality of life.
Better Money Habits® connects people to the tools, resources and education they need to achieve their financial goals. Hundreds of dedicated Volunteer Champions deliver financial tips and lessons to individuals and families all across the U.S., which helps them become homeowners, pay down debt, save for college and more.
Habitat for Humanity®
Stable, affordable housing is the backbone of strong communities, which is why our 30+ year partnership with Habitat for Humanity® is so meaningful to us. Every year, Bank of America employees volunteer around 35,000 hours with Habitat. Recently, volunteers from our Global Technology & Operations helped Habitat’s Charlotte chapter, partnering with Apparo (a nonprofit that assists other nonprofits with technology) to update hardware, improve efficiency and make their technology more secure.
